Procurement Buyer

About the role

Solus is seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer to join its growing team. You will work closely with the Procurement Lead and key internal stakeholders to identify product and service needs, negotiate optimal terms, and support the company’s strategic sourcing objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end supply‑chain process, from ordering to re‑ordering.
• Optimise supplier ordering, ensuring best price, quality and delivery times.
• Mitigate risks by maintaining strong supplier relationships and monitoring compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of all suppliers and support the Commercial Department with forecasting.
• Research market trends, opportunities and sector developments.
• Collaborate to improve supplier performance and address non‑compliance.
• Consider environmental impact and sustainability targets within the supply chain.

Required profile

• Commercial education with business accreditations in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Applied Science or related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in a buying or supply‑chain function.
• Highly analytical problem‑solver with strong numerical aptitude.
• Ability to react quickly to a changing industry environment.
• Self‑motivated, driven and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
