Procurement & Commercial Support Manager

About the role

As the Procurement & Commercial Support Manager you will partner with site leadership and operational teams to enhance supplier governance, commercial control and cost transparency across all operational spend, maintenance and shutdown projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site‑level supplier governance, reviewing performance, capability, compliance, risk and overall value.
• Support supplier negotiations, framework agreements, benchmarking and alternative sourcing.
• Review and challenge scopes, quotations, rate structures, labour hours, material charges, variations and invoices.
• Provide procurement and commercial support for shutdowns, major maintenance activities and high‑value operational work.
• Introduce practical procurement processes such as approval routes, quote evaluations, change records and supplier performance measures.
• Drive continuous improvement ensuring procurement adds value without slowing operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, commercial, contract or supplier management within an industrial, operational, engineering or maintenance environment.
• Understanding of labour‑based contracts, cost‑plus pricing, materials procurement and maintenance or engineering operations.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage commercial agreements.
• Confidence in reviewing and challenging costs, invoices, scopes, commercial terms and supporting documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and challenge appropriately across site teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced operational environments.
