Procurement Contract Manager

About the role

The Procurement Contract Manager will lead procurement strategy and contract delivery for a fast‑growing data‑centre business in London. You will ensure robust tender governance, commercial optimisation and compliance across both business‑as‑usual and major capital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies, compile tender documentation and manage tender evaluation.
• Negotiate, engross and execute contracts for professional services, specialist appointments, OFCI and construction works.
• Maintain the document management system (ASite) for all supplier activity.
• Build and update a database of approved suppliers, ensuring compliance documentation (ISO, insurance, NDAs) is current.
• Conduct pre‑qualification, on‑boarding and framework agreement negotiations with key suppliers.
• Define KPIs for design teams and contractors, run quarterly performance reviews and manage escalation of non‑compliance.
• Review the annual Capex masterplan, advise on procurement approaches and present risks and benefits to senior stakeholders.
• Monitor project master programmes, identify timeline improvements and coordinate procurement activities with project teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and contract management within data‑centre, construction or similar capital‑intensive environments.
• Strong knowledge of tender processes, contract negotiation and supplier performance management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, customers, suppliers and contractors.
• Experience using a document management system for supplier documentation.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements such as ISO accreditation, insurance renewals and NDAs.
