Procurement Manager – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially‑focused Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function for a leading construction and infrastructure support services group. Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage a team of buyers, drive operational efficiency, reduce lead times and deliver measurable cost savings across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across a multi‑company group, shaping processes and improving systems.
• Manage and develop a team of buyers to ensure high performance and supplier compliance.
• Identify and implement efficiency initiatives that reduce lead times and generate cost savings.
• Strengthen supplier performance through robust negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Provide commercial insight and analytical support to influence key business decisions.

Required profile

• Proven procurement experience in construction, engineering or project‑led environments.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and deliver efficiencies.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Commercial awareness backed by solid analytical ability.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems; Xpedeon experience is a plus.
