Procurement Specialist

About the role

Sellick Partnership is supporting a growing not‑for‑profit organisation in the South West, looking for a Procurement Specialist to deliver procurement services to education providers. The role offers the chance to step into a senior, influential position within an expanding, purpose‑driven team.

Key responsibilities

• Research, analyse and review client non‑pay expenditure.
• Provide full procurement activity reports and identify savings across categories.
• Maintain up‑to‑date data to inform clients of procurement activities.
• Benchmark client spend, conduct market testing and draft recommendations for cost‑saving changes.
• Review and draft client procurement procedures, policies and value‑for‑money notes.
• Prepare tender and quotation paperwork, ensuring timetables comply with the Procurement Act 2023.
• Project‑manage procurement activities against agreed timetables and flag potential delays.
• Track savings performance versus targets and keep work‑plan/contract data current.
• Draft monthly and termly progress reports.
• Arrange on‑site information‑gathering visits, supplier presentations and attend events to ensure smooth service delivery.

Required profile

• Public sector procurement/purchasing experience.
• Experience supporting end‑to‑end framework tenders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• CIPS qualification or studying (support available).
• Ability to prioritise and plan own workload.
