Procurement Specialist – Manufacturing

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will support Volution Ventilation’s UK operations, covering seven operating companies and multiple sites. Reporting to the Senior Direct Procurement Specialist, the role is based in Reading and works Monday‑Thursday 08:30‑17:00 and Friday 08:30‑16:30.

Key responsibilities

• Source direct and indirect goods and services across the UK, delivering cost‑effective solutions within project timelines.
• Lead cross‑functional and site sourcing initiatives, managing multi‑site cost‑saving projects and reporting progress monthly.
• Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers, ensuring timely execution and compliance with corporate procurement policies.
• Maintain accurate product data and pricing in the Epicor ERP and other MRP systems.
• Act as procurement lead for the UK vehicle fleet, collaborating with HR to optimise fleet costs.
• Travel to supplier sites and VVUK locations as required to resolve supply‑chain issues.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and influencing abilities with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Experience in both direct and indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage projects across multiple sites and disciplines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epicor ERP and MRP systems.
• Negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices.
