Procurement Specialist – Public Sector (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a well‑established public‑sector procurement function in Greater Manchester. Working in a hybrid model, you will support multiple partner organisations, delivering strategic procurement activities that drive value, efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of procurement projects across a range of service areas.
• Provide professional procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement exercises in line with legislation, regulations and organisational policies.
• Develop tender documentation, coordinate evaluations and support contract award processes.
• Identify procurement opportunities and deliver value‑for‑money solutions.
• Support contract and supplier management, including performance monitoring and administration.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contract registers and supplier information.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and best‑practice development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public‑sector or similar procurement environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, regulations and organisational policies.
• Ability to provide clear advice to stakeholders and manage complex procurement cycles.
• Excellent organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and record‑keeping.
• Commitment to delivering value‑for‑money and social‑value outcomes.
