Procurement Transformation Lead

About the role

ASDA’s Procurement function is undergoing a major transformation to boost commercial performance, modernise ways of working and leverage technology. As the Procurement Transformation Lead you will shape and deliver key initiatives that improve effectiveness, unlock value and support long‑term strategic goals. This senior position offers high visibility and the chance to influence how procurement operates across one of the UK’s most recognised retail brands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of procurement transformation initiatives aligned to ASDA’s strategic objectives.
• Drive process improvement and operational excellence, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate procurement activities.
• Support implementation and optimisation of procurement technology and data‑driven decision making.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Technology and Operations to ensure change adoption and measurable outcomes.
• Lead cross‑functional transformation projects, managing planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and benefit realisation.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading business or procurement transformation programmes.
• Proven track record in process improvement, operating model design and delivering strategic outcomes.
• Strong project and programme management capability with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and change‑management skills.
• Analytical, data‑driven approach to problem solving.
