Procurement & Vendor Strategy Consultant (Part-Time)

About the role

This part‑time, remote consultancy helps a UK‑based organisation optimise its technology spend. You will work with senior executives to improve vendor relationships, negotiate better commercial terms and drive measurable cost savings across SaaS, cloud and digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Review SaaS, cloud infrastructure, software, data, advertising technology and service‑provider agreements to uncover optimisation opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations to improve pricing, contract terms, service levels and overall value.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities, eliminate redundancies and increase spend efficiency.
• Research alternative vendors and platforms to strengthen negotiation leverage.
• Develop vendor‑consolidation strategies across business units and acquired companies.
• Partner with leadership to align procurement priorities with business needs.
• Analyse software usage, subscriptions and vendor commitments to generate savings.
• Support procurement for new initiatives, product launches and acquisitions, including post‑acquisition integration.
• Create visibility into renewals, pricing structures and performance metrics, and report realised savings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud infrastructure or digital services agreements.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings through vendor negotiations.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability in a fast‑moving technology environment.
• Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
