Producibility Stress Engineer – Lead Consultant

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Producibility Stress Engineer to lead a team of stress specialists on aero‑engine projects. Based in Derby (with activities in Bristol), you will work on high‑performance turbomachinery components for power and aviation applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of stress engineers, ensuring delivery excellence across safety, cost, schedule and manufacturability.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders, capturing requirements and scope from customers.
• Perform and oversee structural stress and vibration analysis of aero‑engine components such as rotors, stators, bladed disks, compressors and turbines.
• Mentor engineers, manage priorities and support governance processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and a culture of ownership and accountability.

Required profile

• Several years of experience working on turbomachinery components for power or aviation.
• Strong understanding of aero‑engine modules (rotative, compressors, turbines, combustors, structures, casings).
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience capturing customer requirements and delivering projects on target.

Required skills

• Structural stress analysis of aero‑engine components.
• Vibration analysis of turbomachinery parts.
• Design and analysis of gas turbine components.
• Knowledge of aero‑engine component design, analysis and non‑conformance assessment processes.
