Product Developer – Beauty

About the role

We are a fast‑growing beauty brand based in Hertfordshire, supplying major retailers across the UK and Europe. We are looking for a Product Developer / Production Manager to lead the development of new beauty products from concept through to market launch.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate product costs with factories to secure optimal pricing.
• Identify product and packaging solutions that meet customer needs and cost targets.
• Collaborate with factories to develop products from initial visuals to first samples.
• Liaise with suppliers and compliance teams to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate, inspect and approve samples, components and cutter guides.
• Create and review artwork briefs, ensuring compliance and accurate product information.
• Manage factory relationships and critical paths to meet business and customer deadlines.
• Stay informed of beauty and gifting trends to contribute new product ideas.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in buying or product development, preferably within beauty or cosmetics.
• Strong negotiation skills with factories on cost, quality and lead times.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding artwork, compliance and specifications.
• Passionate about beauty trends and eager to contribute fresh ideas.
