Product Manager

About the role

Altia is a fast‑growing, PE‑backed global software provider that delivers investigation software to law‑enforcement, government and private‑sector clients. The Product Manager will join the Nottingham office, report to the Director of Product and work in a hybrid setting, helping shape AI‑enhanced capabilities that must stand up to courtroom scrutiny.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery activities – interviews, workshops and advisory groups – to define user segments, personas and critical investigative journeys.
• Own product strategy and roadmap, balancing customer value, commercial impact and delivery feasibility.
• Maintain market intelligence, identify whitespace and emerging trends, and translate them into strategic recommendations.
• Design AI‑driven capabilities that are transparent, explainable and defensible in legal contexts.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to provide a well‑prioritised backlog, clear user stories and robust acceptance criteria.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing and Solutions on positioning, go‑to‑market plans, pricing and tender responses.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product management or as a Product Owner/Business Analyst ready to step up.
• Demonstrated closeness to customers through direct research and insight generation.
• Strong commercial instinct with the ability to assess revenue impact and long‑term product positioning.
• Excellent judgement under ambiguity, able to prioritise problems and defend decisions to stakeholders.
