Product Manager – SME Funding Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the creation and scaling of innovative SME funding solutions for a market‑leading independent commercial finance lender. Based in Birmingham, you will drive product strategy across international markets, ensuring regulatory compliance and treasury funding enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Identify market gaps and emerging trends to shape product direction.
• Define and manage the product development backlog, aligning with organisational priorities.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch.
• Assess and select delivery approaches – internal build or strategic partnerships – for funding and adjacent products.
• Develop business cases, financial models and risk assessments to support proposals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions and enable treasury funding structures.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, treasury and external partners to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B financial services product management.
• Strong understanding of commercial finance, SME lending and regulatory environments.
• Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and business case development skills.
