Product Owner – Claims

About the role

Aflac is building AI‑driven capabilities to modernise insurance product creation, management and support. As a Product Owner for Claims you will shape internal claims and servicing products, turning complex policy and operational guidance into better decisions and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery, prioritisation and day‑to‑day product decisions for claims‑focused capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to define measurable outcomes, manage the backlog and deliver solutions that improve claims accuracy, consistency, efficiency and traceability.
• Engage with SMEs, end users and cross‑functional teams to uncover problems, test hypotheses and validate impact using research, analytics and product metrics.
• Champion outcome‑driven product thinking, experimentation and continuous improvement across the claims value stream.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of product management experience, preferably with digital products, platforms or complex internal systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate between business and technical teams.
• Proven experience in product discovery, including user interviews, journey mapping, workshop facilitation and prioritisation.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and making evidence‑based decisions about what to build.

Required skills

• Understanding of AI architecture, Large Language Models and emerging AI technologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies, APIs and data platforms.
• Familiarity with dashboards, analytics and business intelligence tools.
