Product Owner

About the role

We are partnering with a growing technology business that needs an experienced Product Owner to help drive the next stage of growth. This hands‑on role sits close to both the product and engineering teams, taking ownership of day‑to‑day delivery, turning business and customer requirements into clear priorities, and ensuring work moves in the right direction with autonomy and judgement.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of day‑to‑day product delivery, turning business and customer requirements into clear priorities for engineering.
• Ensure continuous progress by guiding the engineering team and making autonomous decisions, challenging where appropriate.
• Balance competing requirements and bring structure to the product backlog.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience as a Product Owner in a software or digital environment.
• Proven ability to own and prioritize a product backlog and translate requirements into actionable work.
• Confidence working directly with software engineering teams and a solid understanding of Agile product delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Experience in regulated environments such as government or the public sector is a plus.
