Product Owner – Mobile App (Public Sector)

About the role

We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the development of a brand‑new mobile application for a public‑sector client. You will shape the product vision, drive the roadmap and work closely with cross‑functional teams while enjoying a hybrid working model – one day per week in London and the rest remote.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize the product backlog to align with organisational objectives.
• Develop and manage the mobile product roadmap in collaboration with other product owners, service designers and marketing.
• Work with a dedicated third‑party development team to deliver enhancements and new features.
• Gather and refine requirements from stakeholders and ensure timely sprint delivery.
• Monitor product performance, analyse feedback and implement continuous improvements.
• Communicate product vision and roadmap to all stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with public‑sector standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital product ownership or digital experience design, with a strong focus on mobile apps.
• Track record of shaping, launching and scaling mobile applications.
• Background in a regulated environment such as financial services, pensions or public sector governance.
• Experience working with service design methodologies.

• Mobile app development expertise.

• Analytics tools (Contentsquare, Google Analytics, Kameleoon).
• Web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
