Product Specialist (Junior Product Developer / Product Manager)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Specialist who will own product categories from concept through launch and ongoing trading. The role blends product development, category management and supplier management in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage product categories aligned to commercial objectives.
• Lead the product lifecycle from idea generation, sourcing and supplier negotiation to launch and performance monitoring.
• Analyse sales and performance data to inform pricing, margins and commercial decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers/manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in product development, product management or own‑label buying.
• Proven track record of taking products from concept to launch.
• Commercial awareness with exposure to pricing, margins and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to interpret sales and performance data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in hardlines such as homewares, gifting, toys, lifestyle or consumer goods.
• Exposure to international sourcing is advantageous.
