Product Support Engineer – 1st Line Technical Support

About the role

We are seeking a Product Support Engineer to join a leading UK engineering manufacturer specialising in access automation, parking systems and access control solutions. This office‑based, Monday‑to‑Friday position offers a stable environment where you can apply your technical knowledge without the need for daily field travel.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for technical enquiries from customers, installers and engineers across the UK.
• Provide product selection advice, spare‑parts identification and installation guidance.
• Offer programming support and assist with fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Respond to technical queries, delivering clear and practical solutions.
• Collaborate with the Technical Manager and engineering team to deepen product knowledge.

Required profile

• Background in engineering, electrical, mechanical or automation disciplines.
• Desire to move from field‑based work to a stable office role.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
