Production Administrator – Office & Floor Support

About the role

We are seeking a Production Administrator to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Poole. The role blends office‑based administration with occasional hands‑on tasks on the shop floor, supporting the Production team to ensure smooth and timely order fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Production department.
• Liaise with customers to confirm order details, requirements and delivery schedules.
• Prepare production paperwork, including packaging and barcode labels.
• Coordinate customer orders, book collections and deliveries, and monitor deadlines.
• Order stock, assist with project coordination and maintain accurate data entry.
• Work closely with the shop floor to communicate customer specifications.
• Perform occasional practical duties such as checking and unpacking incoming customer items.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy office administration role.
• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise varied tasks.
• Proactive attitude and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to assist with occasional practical duties on the production floor.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access (advantage).
