About the role
The company, a leading European manufacturer of construction‑based products, is expanding and seeks a Production Area Leader to manage a team of machinists in its Basildon facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key part in driving performance, safety and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of machinists, conducting briefings, appraisals and health & safety oversight.
- Report key performance indicators (KPIs) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to senior management.
- Engage staff in Lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and drive operational excellence.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of Lean principles.
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry.
