Production Assembler – Electronics Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a well‑established electronics manufacturer, is seeking a Production Assembler to support board‑level assembly and box‑build activities. This is an 8‑12 week temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent, offering a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• PCBA assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering.
• Cable assembly using crimp tools.
• Electro‑mechanical assembly of finished products.
• Interpretation of BOMs and technical drawings to meet quality standards.
• PCBA rework and inspection as required.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of IPC 610 and IPC 620 standards.
• Competent in PTH/SMT soldering to at least IPC 610 Class 2.
• Experience handling fine‑pitch components under a microscope.
• Effective workload management and prioritisation.
• Inspection experience is advantageous but not essential.

What we offer

• 8‑12 week fixed‑term contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
• Hourly rate of £13.50‑£14.
• 37‑hour week: Monday‑Thursday 7:30‑16:00, Friday 7:30‑13:00.
