Production Assistant - Fashion

About the role

A London-based, fast-growing fashion studio is hiring an on-site Production Assistant, reporting directly to the Product Development & Production Manager. The role takes products from initial development through to final production, giving hands-on experience across the full product development and production process. The salary is £26,000 - £28,000.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain accurate Technical Packs throughout development.
• Prepare and update product specifications, measurements, construction details and other technical information.
• Assist with sourcing and developing fabrics, trims, components and embellishments.
• Track sample development and make sure comments and revisions are communicated clearly.
• Measure and comment on proto, showroom, PPS and shipment samples.
• Attend fitting sessions, take detailed notes and photographs, and update technical information.
• Support the manager with day-to-day development tasks and deadlines.

Required profile

• 0-2 years' experience in fashion product development, production or a related role; internships and relevant placements considered.
• Degree or relevant qualification in fashion, product development, garment technology or a related field.
• Strong understanding of garment construction and fashion product development.
• Experience with Technical Packs and product specifications is desirable.
• Proactive, practical and hands-on approach, comfortable in a fast-paced studio environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; knowledge of Photoshop and/or InDesign is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organisation and time management.
