Production Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Production Engineer to join a forward‑thinking manufacturing company in Romsey. The role involves supporting production activities, ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support management in achieving business objectives.
• Comply with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements.
• Maintain a strong understanding of all activities within assigned work areas.
• Ensure workspaces meet or exceed housekeeping standards.
• Conduct detailed tool inspections to verify specifications.
• Perform hands‑on assembly and preparation of mould tools for production and development trials.
• Plan and execute tool trials to validate performance, process capability, and product quality.
• Record, analyse and report trial results, recommending improvements and corrective actions.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications, product knowledge or industry experience preferred.
• Hands‑on mechanical background.
• Familiarity with Quality Management processes such as CAPA and non‑conformance handling.
• Self‑motivated with good time‑management and reliability.
• Ability to build professional relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible, enthusiastic and maintains a positive attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Committed to ongoing learning and personal development.
• Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
