Production Laboratory Technician – Antimicrobial Testing

About the role

The Production Laboratory Technician will work in the production laboratory and aseptic dispensing room to manufacture antimicrobial susceptibility testing plates. The role requires strict adherence to health & safety, quality, GLP, GMP and SOPs while operating in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare antimicrobial solutions according to SOPs, including weighing, dissolving and dilution.
• Set up and monitor production dispensing pumps to ensure quality and timely output.
• Manufacture ancillary solutions such as media, buffers and excipients.
• Perform compliance checks on laboratory equipment, including pipettes, balances and extractors.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials, consumables and equipment.
• Wash, clean and autoclave laboratory equipment, pumps and glassware.
• Use computer systems and software packages to process information and maintain records.
• Complete documentation accurately and uphold company procedures.

Required profile

• A‑level qualification or equivalent in a scientific subject.
• Previous laboratory experience (desirable).
• Experience in a manufacturing, production or high‑throughput environment (desirable).
• Ability to follow SOPs and health & safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
