Production Leader (Hospitality Laundry)

About the role

Elis UK Limited is seeking a hands‑on Production Leader to oversee its hospitality processing centre in Kendal. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to drive operational excellence, ensure on‑time delivery of linens, towels and uniforms, and uphold the company’s high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the daily production schedule, meeting KPIs such as < 98 % on‑time‑in‑full delivery and less than 3 % reject rate.
• Manage and develop a production team, monitoring performance, attendance and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Collaborate with local account managers and national teams to respond to urgent client demands and seasonal peaks.
• Implement continuous‑improvement projects using LEAN, Six Sigma and RFID/stock‑management tools.
• Maintain ISO‑standard operating procedures and ensure a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in production, textile, hospitality or logistics environments.
• Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma or other continuous‑improvement frameworks.
• IOSH qualification or equivalent health‑and‑safety knowledge.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
• Degree‑level education or equivalent operational experience.
