Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Wigan. The role involves overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance within a food‑production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing and production processes.
• Create and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules.
• Procure and maintain factory production equipment.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive productivity improvements across product lines.
• Maintain hygienic conditions for staff and the facility.
• Implement company procedures and policies, and report issues to senior management.
• Monitor productivity rates, quality standards and control measures.
• Train and coach factory operators and sorters.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within food production.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrable leadership experience.
