Production Manager – Luxury Fashion

About the role

Caramel, a luxury British childrenswear brand, is seeking a Production Manager to lead its production department in London. The role involves overseeing the end‑to‑end manufacturing process for women, kids and home collections, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage seasonal critical‑path calendars in collaboration with Design, highlighting key dates and developments.
• Monitor lead times and guarantee product deadlines across all categories.
• Negotiate prices with factories and fabric mills, both pre‑ and post‑market, and conduct seasonal margin reviews with the Director.
• Develop seasonal product line sheets, set target retail costs and margin goals.
• Maintain production schedules throughout each season and enter CMT fabric technical details into ZEDONK for ordering.
• Support design with material sourcing and research during development.
• Coordinate the creation of wash‑care and woven labels for each factory.
• Manage bulk fabric export from EU mills to production factories.
• Advise sales teams on delivery and product drop dates in weekly meetings.
• Oversee quality control and report progress to the Creative Director.
• Handle deliveries from suppliers to UK and international warehouses.
• Support junior team members in daily tasks.

Required profile

• Strong leadership with the ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
• Proven experience in production management within fashion or luxury goods.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
