Production Operative – Packing Pork Scratchings (Temp to Perm)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Operative to join a leading crisp and popcorn manufacturer in Westhoughton. The role involves an 8‑hour shift on a fast‑paced production line, packing pork scratchings and ensuring product quality. Immediate start is available for candidates with at least six months of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities

• Pack bags of pork scratchings onto clip strips and into boxes.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Handle frozen pork in a freezer environment, lifting boxes up to 25 kg.
• Complete paperwork, clean machinery, and maintain a tidy work area.
• Wash floors and walls as part of end‑of‑shift duties.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience on a production line.
• Ability to stand for the duration of an 8‑hour shift.
• Good grasp of English and willingness to learn new skills.
• UK residency (no visa sponsorship available).
• Reliable transport to the site.
