Production Operative (Powder Coating)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing site in Chatham. The role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, focusing on producing custom items and applying powder coating finishes. It is ideal for candidates with experience in production, warehouse or coating environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment safely.
• Manufacture custom products to specification.
• Apply powder coating and prepare items for finishing.
• Measure, cut and prepare materials for production.
• Pack finished goods for dispatch.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the process.
• Load and unload materials and stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Support the wider production and warehouse team as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse or powder coating.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
