Production Operative / Process Operator

About the role

Join a specialist aerospace manufacturing team as a Production Operative / Process Operator. You will be trained to operate anodising lines and chemical conversion coating processes, ensuring safety, accuracy and quality throughout.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run anodising lines safely according to approved work instructions.
• Process aerospace components through anodising and chemical conversion coating (e.g., Boric‑Sulphuric Acid, Sulphuric Acid, Chromic Acid, Alocrom, Alodine).
• Follow detailed job documentation, SOPs and aerospace standards to identify and handle customer parts.
• Monitor and record process parameters such as tank temperature, voltage, and cycle times.
• Carry out quality checks and ensure components are handled without damage or contamination.
• Support production targets while adhering to health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Practical, reliable and quality‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to work safely in a chemical processing environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work to tight specifications.

Required skills

• Anodising line setup and operation.
• Chemical conversion coating processes (Boric‑Sulphuric Acid, Sulphuric Acid, Chromic Acid, Alocrom, Alodine).
• Process monitoring (temperature, voltage, timing).
• Quality inspection of aerospace components.
