Production Operative – Temporary (Ad Hoc)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Production Operative to provide flexible cover for a well‑established manufacturing business in Eastbourne. The position is temporary and ad‑hoc, helping the team during busy periods, holidays and sickness, with the possibility of more regular hours during peak times.

Key responsibilities

• Support the production team as required, moving between different areas of the line.
• Assist with machinery and finishing processes (full training provided).
• Pack, count and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and organised production environment.
• Follow health & safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
• Work to high quality standards at all times.

Required profile

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible, ad‑hoc shifts based on workload.
• Previous experience in production or manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a team setting.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of machinery operation (training will be provided).
• Ability to use personal protective equipment correctly.
