Production Planner

About the role

The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is recruiting a Production Planner for a client in Braintree, Essex. This role offers the chance to join a rapidly expanding, industry‑leading company focused on customer service and continuous growth.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with production personnel and customer services/sales departments.
• Estimate material usage and arrange subcontract engineering services.
• Review and implement routes of manufacture.
• Estimate machining and manufacturing times for each operation.
• Produce route cards, work orders and requisitions for manufacture.
• Develop understanding of organisational structure, policies and processes and recommend improvements.
• Support continuous improvement of ERP processes.
• Contribute to ERP activities such as month‑end processing, annual reporting and data maintenance.

Required profile

• Fully computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with multidisciplinary departments.
• Customer‑focused attitude.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment (desirable).
• Experience in production/manufacturing and sales order scheduling (desirable).
