Production Planner – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Production Planner to join our small planning team at Braintree Precision Components. You will help translate sales demand into shop‑floor activity, ensuring the right stock is in the right place and production runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor incoming sales demand from HEPCO Motion and plan production accordingly.
• Track stock levels across assembly stores and earlier production stages, identifying gaps.
• Generate route cards, work orders and requisitions for manufacturing.
• Estimate machining and manufacturing times for each operation.
• Liaise daily with shop‑floor teams, customer service and sales departments.
• Arrange subcontract engineering services when required.
• Support the transition to Microsoft Business Central and contribute to ERP improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a production planning or scheduling role within manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using an MRP or ERP system.
• Confident communicator comfortable with both office and shop‑floor environments.

• Salary £28,000–£32,000 per year.
