Production Planning Engineer

About the role

AirX Jet Support, a UK CAA and EASA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation, is recruiting a Production Planning Engineer to join its team. The role supports the Technical Services Manager with all aspects of production planning and acts as the point of contact for any planning issues during execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue comprehensive maintenance packages in line with regulatory airworthiness requirements.
• Review work packages to ensure consumables, expendables and tooling are fully identified and available.
• Coordinate pre‑input meetings with internal departments to ensure smooth transition of each maintenance input.
• Review and interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings and service bulletins to provide clear guidance to maintenance teams.
• Update internal systems with work‑card status upon receipt of completed cards.
• Promote safety, quality and FOD culture while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance planning environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Bombardier, Embraer or similar aircraft types.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good understanding of health and safety, human factors and regulatory requirements.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
• Legal authorisation to work in the UK, full clean UK driving licence and ability to obtain security clearance and an airside ID pass.

Required skills

• Experience with MRO IT software such as AMOS, OASES or Rusada.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of OEM manuals, technical drawings and service bulletins.
• Strong technical knowledge of Bombardier and Embraer aircraft types.
