Production Scheduler – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Scheduler will join the Production Planning team at the Broughton aerospace site, supporting wing manufacturing to meet commercial delivery schedules. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate production plans that balance capacity, resources and delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the mid‑ to long‑term Master Production Schedule (MPS) for all products at the plant.
• Update tactical build plans to optimise short‑term production efficiency.
• Calculate resource requirements and align workload with workforce availability.
• Monitor adherence to the build plan and adjust it to remain realistic.
• Conduct capacity and resource calculations and agree on planning assumptions.
• Implement recovery planning and perform scenario analysis to support decision‑making.
• Compile key performance indicators (KPIs) for reporting and business monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities to engage with multiple production functions.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
• Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Business, Operations or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Python coding (advantageous).
