Production Shift Manager

About the role

The Production Shift Manager will lead a busy manufacturing team on a 4‑on‑4‑off days and nights shift pattern. You will be responsible for delivering production targets safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards while motivating the crew.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations across the shift, ensuring output meets plan.
• Monitor and drive performance against KPIs and production targets.
• Manage and resolve on‑shift issues, including equipment breakdowns and quality deviations.
• Lead, coach and evaluate a production team, fostering a safe and collaborative environment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor or Shift Manager in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work the 4‑on‑4‑off days and nights shift schedule.
• Full right to work in the United Kingdom.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and quality standards.
• Experience managing production targets, KPIs and performance metrics.
• Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
