Production Shift Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to join a leading manufacturing site in Bognor Regis. You will work alongside the Production Manager to ensure smooth, efficient operations across rotating shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production against Service Level Agreements and ensure jobs follow the correct sequence.
• Lead the team, allocate resources, and support the Production Manager in meeting KPIs.
• Monitor daily output (approx. 4,600 units per shift) and perform system and report checks.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, enforce PPE use, and uphold health & safety standards.
• Oversee staff training, identify additional needs, and report machine breakdowns or quality issues.
• Capture and report production figures, manage accurate shift handovers, and maintain housekeeping.
• Assist with planned maintenance, maintain weekly rotas, and handle absence records.
• Deliver inductions and support employee training schedules.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• IT literate with good planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and effective communication capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
