Production Supervisor (PM)

About the role

The Production Supervisor (PM) will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a manufacturing line, ensuring equipment is ready, production schedules are met, and quality standards are maintained. This role is based on‑site at Bosch Rexroth’s Lincolnshire facility and reports to the Production Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production line set‑up, including testing and adjusting equipment before operation to guarantee on‑time start.
• Maintain high visibility on the shop floor, overseeing all production activities performed by employees throughout the shift.
• Establish and uphold department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
• Monitor and report daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.
• Report equipment issues to the appropriate department and coordinate corrective actions.
• Work with quality control to sustain quality standards and address any deficiencies.
• Forecast staffing needs, schedule personnel, and manage hiring, training, vacation approvals, overtime, and time‑card validation.
• Provide coaching, motivation, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Complete required administrative tasks, including preparing reports and correspondence.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising production teams in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment set‑up, and production scheduling.
• Ability to monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Experience coordinating with quality control and maintenance departments.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
