Production Support Engineer – Equities Desk

About the role

Our client, a leading multi‑strategy hedge fund, is looking for a Production Support Engineer to join the equities desk. You will work closely with portfolio managers, senior traders and analysts to keep the front‑, middle‑ and back‑office equities systems running smoothly while delivering automation and integration solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day production support for trading, position, P&L, risk, reporting and research applications.
• Maintain and enhance the firm’s equity front‑, middle‑ and back‑office platforms.
• Collaborate with global Production Engineering teams to resolve incidents and identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement automation scripts using Python, PowerShell and SQL.
• Document support procedures, trade flows and common issues on Confluence.
• Leverage AI‑based tools to boost operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of production support experience on an equities investment or trading desk.
• Strong knowledge of equity products such as cash equities, futures and options.
• Ability to communicate technical details with PMs, traders, analysts, operations and risk teams.
• Experience working in ITIL‑aligned production environments and agile development settings.
