Professional Liability Underwriter – London

About the role

Mosaic is seeking an experienced Professional Liability Underwriter to join its London team. This position offers a unique chance to influence a market‑leading portfolio and grow within a global specialty insurance agency.

Key responsibilities

• Execute underwriting strategy across a diverse professional liability portfolio.
• Analyse risk, set pricing, and conduct policy reviews.
• Negotiate new and renewal business with brokers.
• Develop business in the US and international markets.
• Identify new distribution channels, products and relationships.
• Underwrite in line with business plans and underwriting guidelines.
• Travel to engage with intermediaries and clients.

Required profile

• Four or more years (AVP) or eight or more years (VP) of relevant underwriting experience, including professional liability.
• Proven ability to write and lead primary business.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and capable of independent decision‑making.
• Deep knowledge of the insurance marketplace.
