Professional Support Lawyer – Commercial Disputes & Class Actions

About the role

Our client, a medium‑sized law firm on Chancery Lane, is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to strengthen its Commercial Disputes & Class Actions team. The PSL will provide up‑to‑date legal knowledge, innovative tools and resources, and support business‑development projects to deliver exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor market and legal trends for commercial disputes and class actions.
• Develop and deliver ad‑hoc client and internal training sessions.
• Assist lawyers in preparing materials for training and speaking events.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing to create knowledge‑focused website content, social media posts, and client‑facing deliverables.
• Produce knowledge‑driven content for client or project proposals.
• Create and maintain precedents, templates, and a standard advice bank.
• Track emerging litigation technology, evaluate benefits, and provide feedback to the Head of Knowledge & Innovation.
• Support the scoping and administration of pilot projects testing innovation within the team.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years post‑qualification experience with strong commercial awareness and technical excellence.
• Good knowledge of civil procedure, case management and dispute‑resolution strategies.
• Experience of class actions (book‑build, funding and delivery) is preferred.
• Excellent legal research and drafting abilities.
• Proven experience developing and delivering client and internal training.
