Professional Support Lawyer – Private Wealth (Hybrid, Exeter)

About the role

This is a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) position within a leading UK law firm’s Private Wealth team. Based in Exeter with a hybrid working model, the role offers experienced solicitors or legal executives the chance to move away from fee‑earning work while remaining at the forefront of high‑value private client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal knowledge across trusts, tax planning, and estate matters.
• Monitor and communicate legal developments, case law updates, and HMRC changes.
• Draft, update, and manage legal precedents, templates, and know‑how resources.
• Deliver internal training, CPD sessions, and legal workshops.
• Support business development through technical content, tenders, and articles.
• Contribute to knowledge‑management and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (UK qualified) with a minimum of 7 years PQE in Private Client/Private Wealth law.
• Strong experience advising high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients.
• Excellent technical knowledge of trusts, estates, and tax planning.
• Strong communication and training delivery skills.
