Professional Support Lawyer – Property Law

About the role

The Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) will sit at the heart of both the Commercial and Residential Property teams, providing specialist technical expertise while stepping away from fee‑earning work. This full‑time, onsite position offers the chance to shape best practice, drive knowledge sharing and influence legal technology initiatives across a leading property practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve precedents, templates and guidance materials for commercial and residential conveyancing.
• Provide technical legal support and in‑depth research on complex property matters.
• Design and deliver training sessions, mentoring junior lawyers and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, communicating updates to relevant teams.
• Contribute to client updates, thought‑leadership pieces and business development initiatives.
• Support legal‑tech adoption, process‑improvement projects and the implementation of innovative solutions.
• Promote collaboration and consistency across property teams.

Required profile

• At least 6 years post‑qualification experience in commercial and/or residential property law.
• Demonstrated interest in moving from fee‑earning to a knowledge‑focused role, or prior PSL experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and proactive, organised working style.
• Excellent drafting, research and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering training or mentoring colleagues.
