Program Finance Lead – Hivemind Business Unit

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Lead to drive financial performance for Shield AI’s fast‑growing Hivemind business unit. The role partners with engineering, operations and product leaders to provide actionable financial intelligence that shapes strategy and supports sustained growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning.
• Analyse financial and operational data, delivering clear recommendations to senior leadership.
• Partner with program management and engineering to monitor program financial health, cost tracking and workforce planning.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) frameworks and update estimates at completion.
• Participate in month‑end and quarter‑end close, variance analysis and executive reporting.
• Drive process improvements and automation within financial reporting.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance or FP&A, preferably in aerospace & defence or government contracting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/AASB/GAAP and practical experience applying accounting principles to government contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate cross‑functionally in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and data analysis.
• Knowledge of cost accounting concepts and government contract structures (T&M, CPFF, FFP).
• Familiarity with ERP and planning systems such as SAP, Oracle or Costpoint.
• Understanding of IFRS/AASB/GAAP reporting standards.
