Program Underwriting Manager

About the role

The Program Underwriting Manager will join a fast‑growing specialty insurance platform in London. Reporting to senior underwriting leadership, you will own delegated underwriting relationships with MGA partners and coverholders, driving portfolio performance and commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting performance across delegated authority partnerships.
• Monitor portfolio profitability, exposures and underwriting quality.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with MGA and coverholder partners.
• Collaborate with analytics teams on reporting, management information and portfolio insights.
• Support strategy for portfolio optimisation and growth.
• Present performance results and recommendations to senior leadership and reinsurers.

Required profile

• Significant program management experience within the London market or specialty insurance space.
• Strong commercial thinking combined with technical underwriting oversight.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with external partners.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
