Programme Lead Business, Law and Social Studies

About the role

The Programme Lead provides academic leadership for the Business, Law and Social Studies programmes at Oxfordinternational in Sheffield. Working closely with the College Director and academic team, the role ensures coherent delivery, high quality standards and strong student outcomes while also contributing to teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day academic delivery, curriculum design and assessment for the designated programmes.
• Coordinate staffing, recruitment and performance management of teaching staff, ensuring appropriate resourcing.
• Monitor programme quality, analyse student data and drive continuous improvement and module evaluation.
• Oversee timetabling, assessment moderation, progression reporting and maintain accurate academic records.
• Support student engagement, attendance monitoring and intervene to promote successful progression.
• Build relationships with partner university contacts and internal quality assurance teams.
• Deliver up to 15 hours per week of high‑quality teaching and contribute to scholarly activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business (or related) with a postgraduate qualification in Business (desirable).
• Recognised teaching qualification for higher education (e.g., PGCert HE, PGCE) or substantial HE teaching experience.
• Proven experience of teaching Business at higher education or foundation level.
• Demonstrated academic leadership or programme coordination experience.
• Strong understanding of assessment, quality assurance and data‑driven improvement.
• Experience supporting diverse student cohorts and working within university partnership arrangements (desirable).
