Programme Manager – Engineering & New Product Introduction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of engineering and new product introduction programmes within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering strategic projects from concept through to commercial launch, ensuring they meet quality, cost and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of complex engineering and product development programmes from initiation to commercial launch.
• Define project scope, budgets, resource plans, milestones and delivery schedules.
• Establish project governance, reporting structures and stakeholder communication channels.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain and commercial teams.
• Monitor programme performance using KPIs and proactive risk‑management techniques.
• Ensure delivery aligns with agreed quality, cost and timescale objectives.
• Partner with senior leadership to align programme delivery with strategic business priorities.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities in programme management processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex programmes in manufacturing, engineering or technical environments.
• Strong track record of delivering new product introduction or product development projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams through complex project lifecycles.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and resources.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Skilled in project governance, risk management and performance reporting.
• Professional project management qualification (e.g., APM, PRINCE2) desirable.
