Programme Manager – International Trade

About the role

TechUK is seeking an energetic, commercially‑minded Programme Manager to grow its International Trade programme. The role will help UK technology companies access overseas markets through trade missions, delegations, events and strategic partnerships, working closely with members and government bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a portfolio of international trade programmes covering key global markets and thematic areas.
• Design and run member events, roundtables, webinars and international engagements.
• Plan and execute trade missions, commercial delegations and inward missions, handling logistics and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop new initiatives that enable members to access international markets and increase exports.
• Identify and build partnerships to expand TechUK’s international engagement.
• Build strong relationships with members, understand their international priorities and connect them with relevant opportunities.
• Support business development by attracting prospective members and demonstrating the value of TechUK’s international work.
• Contribute to the commercial growth of the programme and ensure members benefit from the UK’s trade agenda.

Required profile

• Commercial mindset with experience in international trade or business development.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships across government, industry and member organisations.
• Excellent communication and networking skills, with a track record of delivering high‑quality events.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving environment and manage multiple programmes simultaneously.
• Understanding of the UK’s international trade agenda, including free‑trade agreements.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £35,000‑£42,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
