Programme Manager – PAS-X/MES

About the role

FDM Group, a global business and technology consultancy, is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a PAS‑X/MES programme for a healthcare client. This is a 12‑month contract based in London with a hybrid working model. The role will oversee a £20 million, 13‑site upgrade and new‑site deployments, guiding the programme from design through build and into system integration testing (SIT).

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery of the PAS‑X/MES programme through design, build and SIT readiness for Q1 2027.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams across 13 site upgrades and a new international manufacturing site.
• Manage vendor and systems‑integrator relationships, ensuring scope, quality and milestone compliance.
• Maintain the integrated programme plan, deployment sequencing and critical path.
• Control a c. £20 M budget, handling scope changes, benefits tracking and stage‑gated funding.
• Chair governance forums, present to steering committees and executive leadership, and resolve cross‑workstream risks and issues.
• Build strong relationships with site leadership, functional stakeholders and global technology teams across time zones.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large, multi‑site technology or transformation programmes (£15‑20 M+) in manufacturing, supply‑chain or regulated environments.
• Strong background managing systems integrators and software vendors on enterprise deliveries.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through design, build and test cycles, including SIT planning and execution.
• Commercial and financial acumen with budget ownership and change‑control expertise.
• Executive‑level communication and facilitation skills, with experience influencing steering committees.
• Experience leading matrixed, multi‑country teams and coordinating deployment roll‑outs.
