Progress Coach - Greenkeeping & Sportsturf Apprenticeships

About the role

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a full-time, permanent Progress Coach specialising in Greenkeeping & Sportsturf. The role manages a caseload of apprentices, supports them and their employers and guides them through the End Point Assessment Gateway of the L2 Greenkeeping Apprenticeship programmes. It is advertised as remote with travel required, reports to the greenkeeping programme lead and sits on the support staff pay scale K.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing coaching, mentoring and assessment with constructive feedback to secure timely and successful achievement of the EPA Gateway.
• Carry out initial assessments, set realistic start and end dates and conduct progress reviews every 8-12 weeks, in person or remotely.
• Monitor and track off-the-job training hours so audit requirements are met, and liaise with the apprenticeship central team.
• Support apprentices and employers in understanding standards and their responsibilities for on and off job training.
• Use EBS, Pro-achieve and e-portfolio systems to keep accurate records of progress.
• Work with EPAO partners and the central apprenticeship team, and promote a safe, non-discriminatory environment and safeguarding.

Required profile

• Level 2 English and Maths, plus relevant vocational qualifications or 5+ years of industry experience.
• Proven success with e-portfolios and employer support.
• Mandatory enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
